Macedonia, Belarus release June 2026 average loan and deposit rates

In June 2026 the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia reported that the average interest rate on total loans fell to 4.67%, a decline of 0.02 percentage points from the previous month and 0.36 points on a yearly basis. The average rate on total deposits remained at 2.17%, showing a 0.03‑point decrease over the year. New approved loans carried an average rate of 4.38%, down 0.04 points both monthly and annually, while newly applied deposits rose to 2.54%, up 0.33 points month‑on‑month and 0.19 points year‑on‑year.

The Belarusian National Bank released similar figures for the same period. Corporate‑sector loans averaged 4.31%, a slight 0.02‑point dip from May, and corporate‑sector deposits averaged 2.66%, down 0.03 points. Changes were driven by higher rates on foreign‑currency loans and lower rates on domestic‑currency loans, with varying effects across different currency clauses.
