Macedonia celebrates the feast of Apostle Bartholomew on June 11

On June 11 (old calendar), Orthodox Christians in North Macedonia observe the feast day of Saint Apostle Bartholomew (also known as Nathaniel). The celebration marks the saint’s role among the twelve apostles and includes traditional beliefs that the sun turns toward winter on this date.
