Macedonia PM Micic visits Bitola Hospital as MS therapy moves locally
On 31 July 2026, Prime Minister Christian Micic visited the Dr Trifun Panovski Clinical Hospital in Bitola, inspecting newly renovated departments and a modern digital X‑ray system donated by the government. He addressed the media about the upgrades.
Hospital director Nancy Lozanche announced that, in cooperation with the University Oncology Clinic, doctors from Skopje will now travel weekly to provide oncology and multiple‑sclerosis (MS) treatments locally, reducing the need for patients from the western region to travel to Skopje. Health Minister Sasho Klekovski highlighted the regionalisation effort, noting 82 new hires and ongoing specialist support, aiming to decentralise MS therapy and improve healthcare access in southwestern North Macedonia.
