Macedonia records 612 billion denar tax base for 2025

The Macedonian Public Revenue Authority announced that citizens reported a total taxable income of 612 billion denars for 2025. The calculated personal income tax from that base reached 39.8 billion denars, up by 4.86 billion denars from the previous year. Compared with 2024, total declared income rose by 74.1 billion denars.

In total, 863,100 tax returns were generated. Of these, 704,443 are accessible through the e‑Tax service portal, while the remaining returns belong to taxpayers who have not yet created an online account. The Authority noted that 208,857 taxpayers owe additional tax, 313,519 have over‑paid, and 617 individuals have filed refund claims amounting to roughly 32.4 million denars. It urged all individuals without e‑Tax profiles to register promptly to verify their filings and obtain payment orders.
