Macedonia seizes six cars and a house from fugitive suspect Aleksandar Lazarov
The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Macedonia announced the temporary seizure of six passenger vehicles – a Jeep, Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Passat – and a house belonging to 41‑year‑old Aleksandar Lazarov. Lazarov, wanted on a central and international warrant for unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics, escaped from the police station in Kocani and was later recaptured and placed in pre‑trial detention.
The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kocani provided evidence that the assets are disproportionate to Lazarov’s legal income, stating they are likely obtained through criminal activity. The Basic Court of Kocani ordered the seizure, and police continue investigations into the legality of the property. Eight grams of cocaine were found during a vehicle search linked to the case.
"The assets do not correspond to his legal income, which supports the suspicion that they were obtained through criminal activity," officials said.
