Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia bid to host EHF EURO 2034
The handball federations of Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia have officially submitted a joint bid to host the men's EHF EURO 2034. The three nations aim to leverage their shared handball traditions to host one of the premier events in European handball.
Representatives from the federations expressed full readiness to comply with the rules and guidelines set by the European Handball Federation (EHF). They emphasized their commitment to meeting all necessary organizational and infrastructural requirements to host the competition at the highest level.
Aleksandar Stefanov, President of the Handball Federation of Macedonia, noted that the bid is a significant step forward for the country, highlighting handball as a primary sport in Macedonia with a deep-rooted history and successful international track record. Božidar Đurković, President of the Serbian Handball Association, also affirmed that the three nations possess the capacity and experience required to meet EHF standards.
