Macedonian athletes compete in boxing and tennis

Macedonian boxer Alen Rustemovski secured a place in the semifinals at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto following a technical knockout victory over Albania's Ariol Zeneli. Rustemovski demonstrated strong preparation from the start of the match, using precise and powerful strikes to overcome his opponent.

In tennis, Lina Gjorkoska was eliminated from the US Open qualifying rounds. She lost her first qualifying match to Japan's Mai Hontama in straight sets, 7-6, 6-3. Despite a competitive first set that went to a tie-break, Hontama maintained control in the second set to advance to the next qualifying round.
