Macedonian basketball team prepares for EuroBasket prequalifications

The Macedonian men's national basketball team has begun preparations in Vienna for their upcoming EuroBasket 2027 prequalification match against Austria. The squad has been bolstered by the addition of naturalized American center Moses Wright, who currently plays for the Italian club Olimpia Milano.

Wright expressed his positive experience joining the team, noting that he is working closely with the coaching staff to integrate into the squad. The team is scheduled to face Austria at the Sport Arena in Vienna this Sunday at 16:05.

Veteran player Stojan Gyuroski noted that the team has analyzed Austria's recent performance, specifically their unexpected loss to Cyprus. Gyuroski emphasized that despite roster changes due to injuries and club commitments, the team aims to maintain the playing style established by head coach Jose Maria Beroccal. He highlighted the arrival of Wright and Nenad Dimitrijevic as significant reinforcements for the national team.
