Macedonian Environment Minister Terminates Contracts of 20 Serbian Officials
The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning (MMPH) in North Macedonia, headed by Minister Fitore Pacolli, issued a decision to end the contracts of 20 civil servants from the Serbian community.
The officials, hired on 5 January 2016 and formerly part of the now‑defunct “Civil Protection” unit, were found to have repeatedly missed work and failed to meet their job responsibilities.
The terminations follow recommendations from the National Audit Office and are presented as a measure to enforce full legality and equal standards for all public‑sector employees.
