Junior World Kickboxing Championships see success for Montenegro and Macedonia

The Junior World Kickboxing Championships in Lido di Jesolo, Italy, have seen significant performances from Montenegrin and Macedonian athletes.

The Montenegrin junior team secured five medals, including a silver medal won by Dragan Muratović in the low-kick discipline (under 54 kg). Other Montenegrin medalists include Sultan Imeri, Gzim Prelvukaj, Miloš Vojinović, and Mila Jović, who all earned bronze.

Macedonian competitors also achieved notable results. Dragica Gligorova secured a spot in the semifinals, guaranteeing at least a bronze medal, while Petar Lozanovski also earned a bronze. The Macedonian team has recorded two finals, two semifinals, and one bronze medal so far.

In Macedonia, the Kickboxing Maaitai Federation (KMFM) addressed funding concerns, noting that the Ministry of Sport has publicly committed to reimbursing the travel and accommodation costs for the junior national team after they initially used personal funds to participate in the tournament.
