Macedonian Language Summer School Brings 40 Children to Selce, Croatia
The Macedonian community organized a week‑long summer school for the Macedonian language in Selce, Croatia. About 40 children from various parts of the country attended, participating in language classes, cultural workshops and history lessons. Organisers highlighted the program’s role in preserving the language, noting that 108 students learned Macedonian model C in Croatia this school year. The school is open to all children, regardless of ethnic background, and aims to foster friendships and cultural exchange.
Co‑ordinator Ivana Brezovec and representatives of the Macedonian Cultural Society Ilinden emphasized the importance of language for national identity and the hope that participants will carry the experience back to their own schools.
