Macedonian media reports surge in Bulgarian digital presence

Discussions regarding the digital presence of Bulgarian citizens on Macedonian media platforms have gained attention following a debate on TV Alfa. Participants Mateja Petrovski, Meri Simonovska, and Ivo Rangelović discussed how Bulgarian users frequently engage with Macedonian social media content, often using rhetoric that denies Macedonian identity, language, and people.

Reports indicate that during the broadcast of this debate, numerous Bulgarian users posted comments on the video itself. These comments, which included claims such as “It is not true, we do not comment on you at all” and “No one bothers with you,” were cited as practical examples that inadvertently confirmed the high level of Bulgarian digital engagement and the intent to challenge the Macedonian media space.
