Macedonian National Theatre begins rehearsals for ‘Crno zlato’

The Macedonian National Theatre has commenced rehearsals for its new production, ‘Crno zlato’ (Black Gold). The play features a script by renowned Macedonian dramatist Dejan Dukovski and is directed by Slobodan Unkovski.

The narrative focuses on a family navigating unspoken conflicts, traumas, losses, and attempts to rediscover their identity amidst familial transition. The production explores how the past and present continuously intersect through its characters.

The creative team includes set designer Branko Hojnik, costume designer Aleksandar Noshpal, and composer Zlatko Orgianski. The cast features Jovica Mihajlovski, Mimi Tanevska, Kamka Tocinovski, Nela Pavlovska, Grigor Jovanovski, Sashko Kocev, Sofia Nasevska-Trifunovska, Gorast Cvetkovski, and Zlatko Orgianski.
