Macedonian parliamentary delegation visits Israel
A delegation from the Macedonian Assembly conducted an official visit to Israel from October 11 to 16, following an invitation from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Led by Rashela Mizrahi, the delegation met with representatives at the Knesset to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, specifically focusing on trade, health, agriculture, security, entrepreneurship, culture, and tourism.
The visit included several institutional and commemorative stops. The delegation visited the Supreme Court of Israel and toured the Hadassah Clinical Hospital and the Hadassit Medical Innovation Center to observe medical advancements.
In Jerusalem, members participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Yad Vashem to honor Holocaust victims and visited the graves of Theodor Herzl, Yitzhak Rabin, and Shimon Peres. The delegation also met with Patriarch Theophilos of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, where discussions touched upon the role of religion in resolving ethnic conflicts. The program concluded with a visit to the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation in Tel Aviv to explore technological developments.
