Macedonian People's Theatre launches new season with English‑translated ‘Three Sisters’
The Macedonian People’s Theatre (MNT) will open its 2026/2027 season on 25 September with a production of Anton Chekhov’s play ‘Three Sisters’. Directed by Nela Vitoshevski, the performance will be the first in the theatre’s repertoire to include an English translation, a move intended to make the show accessible to international audiences.
The adaptation, based on a text by Vasili Hristov and Nela Vitoshevski with dramaturgy by Viktorija Rangelova‑Petrovska, features a cast that includes Darja Rizova, Nataliya Teodoseva, Verica Nedeshka, Damjan Cvetanovski, Blagoje Veselinov, Emil Ruben, Ivica Dimitrijevic, Nina Dean and Antonio Tashkovski. Creative staff includes set designer Igor Vasiljev, costume designer Roza Trajceska and composer Ognen Anastasovski. Tickets for the premiere and subsequent performances are already on sale.
