Four suspects detained after wedding shooting in Dobri Dol, Macedonia
On 31 July, a wedding celebration in the village of Dobri Dol, Gostivar municipality, turned violent when four individuals fired three air‑guns and a shotgun into the air, endangering guests. The incident was recorded and spread on social media, prompting the Macedonian police (SVR Tetovo) to conduct raids at several locations in the village. Six people were detained, one placed under a formal interview, and a cache of firearms, ammunition and cartridges was seized.
The Gostivar Public Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case for "endangering public safety" and requested pre‑trial detention for the four accused. An eight‑day detention order was issued, with one suspect flagged as a flight risk because he also holds Slovenian citizenship. The investigation continues as authorities document the evidence and prepare charges.
