Macedonian Prime Minister Christian Micic outlines 2024‑2044 National Development Strategy

Prime Minister Christian Micic told the fifth meeting of the National Development Strategy council that the strategy’s success will be judged by the number of lives it improves rather than the length of its documents. He emphasized a shift from short‑term political cycles to a long‑term vision covering the next two decades, aiming for better jobs, higher incomes, quality education, health care, modern infrastructure and efficient institutions.

Micic highlighted that more than 1,200 representatives from institutions, businesses, universities and civil society have contributed to identifying dozens of concrete measures, many of which are already being implemented. He described the council as a platform where different perspectives become strengths and stressed the need for sustained, consensus‑driven policies to build a competitive economy.
