SDSM Youth Demands Probe into Leaked Police Documents from Strumica

Christian Eftimov, spokesperson for the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) youth wing, said confidential police documents from the Strumica police station were illegally obtained and published by members of VMRO‑DPMNE. The documents, which are classified as official secrets, were allegedly used to target young activists in Novo Selo.

Eftimov called the act a criminal offence and demanded that the Public Prosecutor open an investigation and file criminal charges against the police officers who extracted the files, Interior Minister Panche Toskovski, and Valentin Manasievski, who he said publicly released the information. He also asked the Ministry of Interior’s internal control unit to determine who enabled the access and to arrange forensic expertise, warning that SDSM will file criminal complaints if no action is taken.
