Macedonian security officials attend IACP conference in the US
Macedonian security leaders, including the directors of the Customs Administration, the Bureau for Public Security, and the Financial Police Administration, are participating in the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP 2026) annual conference in Orlando, Florida.
The delegation attended the event following an official invitation from the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP), which operates under the U.S. Department of Justice's Criminal Division. The conference focuses on enhancing international cooperation, information exchange, and technological integration to combat organized crime and corruption.
Participants are engaging with over 600 exhibitors showcasing modern technologies and innovative solutions for crime detection and prevention. The Macedonian authorities noted that these tools could improve the efficiency of pre-investigative procedures. Additionally, the Customs Administration highlighted that since July 2024, it has filed 422 criminal reports to relevant prosecutors.
