He condemned the manner in which FC Vardar marked its championship title, calling the incident unacceptable and urging clubs, officials and fans to act as role models and avoid similar scenes in the future. Ristovski emphasized the need for respect, responsibility and adherence to true sporting values.

The minister’s remarks were made during a debate on violence and hate in Macedonian sport, with participants including the president of the Football Federation of Macedonia, Masar Omeragić, and other experts. The handball club RK Varadar 1961 also rejected a joint celebration with FC Vardar, underscoring the broader concern over inappropriate fan behavior.
