Macedonia courts sentence trafficker, murderers and tax evaders

Skopje’s criminal court sentenced a child‑trafficking intermediary, identified only by initials F. A., to eight years in prison for organising the sale of newborns. The court also handed down prison terms to co‑accused individuals ranging from four to seven years, confirming that the scheme involved multiple families and repeated transactions.

A 30‑year‑old son was charged with murdering his father after stabbing him more than 30 times with a knife, an investigation that will include psychiatric evaluation. In a separate case, a married couple were convicted of murdering Aco Trpovski in the Autokomanda district, both receiving custodial sentences for the stabbing and for covering up the crime.
