Macedonia's FM Mucunski Meets US Deputy Secretary Landau to Strengthen Partnership
Macedonian Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski met US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau in Washington during a working visit. The ministers said the two countries share close and aligned positions on many political, economic and security issues and confirmed their intention to further strengthen the strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation.
The discussions covered NATO cooperation, defence, economic development, energy and regional connectivity, as well as the situation in the Western Balkans, where the United States’ role in preserving peace and stability was highlighted. Both sides expressed that the partnership with Washington remains a core pillar of Macedonia’s foreign policy. "Our two countries have close and aligned positions for a wide range of political, economic and security issues… we confirmed the joint decision to further strengthen the strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation," Mucunski said.
