Maceió launches debt renegotiation initiative for citizens

The City Hall of Maceió has launched the ‘Desenrola Maceió’ initiative to facilitate debt renegotiation for citizens and entrepreneurs. Held from August 19 to 21 at the Calçadão do Centro, the event centralizes services from banks, public utility providers, and municipal agencies to reduce bureaucracy.

Participating financial institutions include Caixa Econômica Federal, Banco do Brasil, Santander, Itaú, and BMG. Utility companies Equatorial Energia and BRK are also involved. The program allows individuals and small businesses to consult active debts and access special discount conditions, while larger businesses can regularize municipal tax debts through the Prefis program.
