Maceió man dies after being shot in the head

Eberton Bruno da Silva Barbosa, 21, died at the Hospital Geral do Estado (HGE) on Thursday after being shot in the head. The incident occurred on Wednesday night in the Mata do Aeroclube area, located in the Santa Lúcia neighborhood of Maceió.

According to the Alagoas Military Police, officers responded to reports of gunfire and found the victim on the ground with severe head injuries. SAMU emergency responders provided approximately 40 minutes of pre-hospital stabilization before the victim was escorted by police to the hospital.

Witnesses reported hearing at least three gunshots but did not see the attack or identify any suspects. At the time of the incident, the victim was wearing a supporter group shirt. The Civil Police of Alagoas are investigating the motive and authorship of the crime.
