Maceió ranks among Brazil's top five holiday destinations
Maceió has emerged as one of the top five most searched destinations in Brazil for the upcoming September 7 Independence Day holiday. According to data from Booking.com, searches for accommodations in the Alagoas capital for the period of September 5 to 7 increased by 169% compared to the same period in the previous year.
Maceió ranks fifth in the national list, trailing behind Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, João Pessoa, and Porto de Galinhas. The city's growth highlights the increasing interest in the Northeast region, which accounts for three of the top five destinations.
Local tourism officials noted that this significant surge in interest strengthens the regional tourism productive chain. The spring season in Maceió, characterized by temperatures between 24°C and 30°C and stable weather, is expected to drive further activity for outdoor excursions, such as visits to the Pajuçara natural pools and the Costa dos Corais.
