Maceió shooting kills daughter of CRB masseur

Luana Vanessa Ferreira Viana Miranda, 35, was killed in a shooting attack in the Poço neighborhood of Maceió last Saturday. According to the Civil Police of Alagoas, the victim and her 30-year-old partner were in a vehicle when they were approached by two suspects on a white motorcycle. The assailants opened fire, causing Luana's death at the scene. Her partner was wounded and transported to the Hospital Geral do Estado (HGE).

Investigators have recovered the motorcycle used in the crime, which had been reported stolen in August. While the motive remains unknown, police noted that the survivor has a criminal record involving domestic violence and drug trafficking, whereas Luana had no criminal history. The Homicide and Person Protection Police Department (DHPP) is currently reviewing security camera footage and interviewing witnesses.

Assis Miranda, a masseur for the CRB football club, expressed his grief on social media, thanking the community for their messages of support. In response to the tragedy, the Alagoas Football Federation (FAF) has declared three days of official mourning and announced that a minute of silence will be observed during the upcoming CRB vs. Atlético-GO match.
