Macek seeks national team call-up following Sparta Prague integration

Sparta Prague midfielder Macek has become a key figure in the team's lineup following his transfer from Mladá Boleslav in July. Despite the club's difficult start to the season, which included four losses in the first seven rounds and elimination from Champions League qualification, Macek has integrated quickly into the starting eleven.

Following a recent 2-0 victory over Jablonec, Macek expressed his desire to earn a call-up to the Czech national team. He noted that while he is highly critical of his own performances, his primary goal is to perform at a level that merits selection under the new head coach, Santi Denia, who recently visited the club's training center.

Macek emphasized that his ambition and footballing ego drive him to maintain high standards, stating that he wants to deserve his place in the national squad despite his age.
