Macerata administration faces criticism over staff appointment process

In Macerata, a political dispute has emerged regarding the appointment of the mayor's staff. Following a city council vote to suspend the recruitment procedure for a communications officer, the municipality proceeded to publish the official tender for the position.

Democratic Party councilor Andrea Perticarari criticized the move, stating that the administration ignored the clear direction expressed by the council. He argued that the decision to move forward with the tender, despite the council's vote, undermines the role of the municipal assembly and treats its decisions as obstacles to be bypassed.
