Macerata announces free transport and parking for San Giuliano festivities

Macerata is implementing several measures to facilitate movement and celebrate the San Giuliano festivities and the Fieracon on August 30 and 31. To encourage sustainable mobility and manage traffic changes required for event safety, local public transport will be free of charge during these two days.

Additionally, most city parking will be free, with the exception of the via Armaroli covered parking, the via Carducci directional parking, and the via Trento parking areas. Transport Councilor Barbara Antolini noted that these measures aim to provide a concrete alternative to private cars during periods of high attendance.

As part of the celebrations, the traditional vintage and artisan market, ‘Il Barattolo’, will hold a special edition. The market will be located in the historic center along via Garibaldi, via Tommaso Lauri, and corso Matteotti, offering handmade crafts, vintage items, and second-hand goods.
