Macerata councilor criticizes disability school assistance tender
Ninfa Contigiani, a municipal councilor for the Democratic Party in Macerata, has criticized the local administration regarding a new tender for school assistance services for students with disabilities. Following a formal warning from the USB Lavoro Privato union, Contigiani accused the administration of attempting to save costs at the expense of both workers' rights and the quality of service provided to vulnerable students.
Key concerns raised include the under-classification of educational roles, the lack of appropriate contractual levels for the complexity of the work, and the transfer of economic risk to workers in instances where a student is absent. Contigiani has called for the administration to suspend the tender process and initiate immediate discussions with labor representatives to ensure a more modern and credible welfare model.
