Macerata expands Altrove youth space and hosts Evo festival

The city of Macerata has introduced expanded facilities for ‘Altrove’, a dedicated experimental space for local youth. During the ‘EVO – Linguaggi del gioco’ event, officials presented the new, larger environments designed to accommodate growing participation. While the main entrance remains at via Crispi 99, the project has expanded into more functional spaces to provide areas for studying, music, and cultural and social activities for both adolescents and university students.

Deputy Mayor Francesca D’Alessandro noted that the expansion demonstrates the administration's ability to meet the city's real needs, transforming Altrove from a temporary project into a stable urban reference point. Youth Policy Assessor Pierfrancesco Tasso highlighted that providing high-quality, zero-cost spaces has met with enthusiastic responses from young people.

Simultaneously, the ‘Evo’ festival is taking place across eleven venues in Macerata's historic center. The event features gaming-themed culinary offerings inspired by franchises like Minecraft and Dungeon & Dragons, alongside musical performances and DJ sets. The festival is an official stop of the ‘Grand tour delle Marche’.
