Macerata hosts EVO 2026 festival blending gaming and local culture

The city of Macerata is hosting EVO 2026, a festival that integrates gaming culture with local traditions, music, and gastronomy. A specific spin-off titled ‘EVO Pop’ has been launched to bring the event into the city center, making it more accessible to a diverse public. The initiative is a collaboration between the Department of Commerce, the Marche Chamber of Commerce, and local partners.

Key locations include Piazza della Libertà, which will host entertainment such as DJ sets and the ‘The Magic is Back — Winx Club’ show, and Via Garibaldi, which will feature the ‘EVO Village’ with artisanal stands. The event also includes traditional performances by the flag-throwers of Montecassiano.

As part of the EVO Village, students from the ‘G. Garibaldi’ Agricultural Institute will participate on September 25 and 26. Working alongside organizations like Copagri Marche and Coldiretti, the students will manage gastronomic stands, tractor modeling displays, and educational activities focused on agriculture and sustainability.
