Macerata law enforcement officials conclude service

Two long-serving law enforcement officials are concluding their tenures in Macerata, Italy.

Police Chief Luigi Mangino is finishing his term after just over a year leading the Macerata Police Headquarters. He is scheduled to transfer to Rome to take on a new role at the Office of the Extraordinary Commissioner for Missing Persons. During his time in Macerata, Mangino focused on territory control, crime prevention, protecting victims of violence, combating drug trafficking, and preventing fraud against the elderly. He emphasized the importance of coordination between police forces and local institutions, particularly in areas like Civitanova Marche.

Simultaneously, Chief Brigadier Arturo Sgueo is retiring from the Carabinieri after 37 years of military service. Sgueo, who joined the Carabinieri in 1989, spent much of his career in various roles across Puglia and the Marche region, including service at the Macerata Carabinieri Company Operations Center. He is recognized by his colleagues for his professionalism and dedication throughout his extensive career.
