Macerata Mayor considers appointing Diego Crovace as chief of staff

Macerata Mayor Sandro Parcaroli is considering the appointment of Diego Crovace as his chief of staff. Crovace is a retired lieutenant of the Guardia di Finanza who previously commanded the Porto Recanati unit.

The proposed expansion of the mayor's staff includes the chief of staff, a communications officer, a staff collaborator, and a secretary. This move has drawn criticism from the political opposition. Andrea Perticarari, a Democratic Party councilor, characterized the decision as an unnecessary expense, noting that most Italian municipalities of similar size do not employ a chief of staff. Perticarari argued that the cost of this administrative expansion would fall directly on the citizens of Macerata.
