Macerata Opera Festival 2026 concludes with record revenue and sold-out shows

The 2026 Macerata Opera Festival concluded with significant commercial and artistic success at the Sferisterio. The season ended with three sold-out performances, including Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”, “Nabucco”, and “The Barber of Seville”.

Financial reports indicate a gross revenue of approximately 1.5 million euros, with an average seat occupancy rate exceeding 90%. The season attracted roughly 30,000 spectators, including a growing international audience that accounted for about 12% of attendees. Sandro Parcaroli, president of the Sferisterio Association, noted that the economic success benefits both the city and the Marche region.

Looking ahead, the festival has announced its upcoming program, which will feature “La Traviata”, “L’elisir d’amore”, and “Tosca”.
