Macerata to host EVO 2026 gaming and culture festival

The fifth edition of the EVO festival will take place in Macerata, Italy, from September 24 to 27, 2026. The event focuses on the theme ‘The languages of play,’ exploring gaming as a cultural, educational, social, and economic tool.

The festival features over 60 events distributed across various locations in the historic center, including Piazza della Libertà, the Mozzi Borgetti library, and the Antichi Forni gallery. Key attractions include the EVO Village, which explores the relationship between taste and play, and a dedicated Nintendo space for intergenerational entertainment. Other areas include a gaming hall for board games and role-playing games featuring companies such as Clementoni and Rainbow.

The program is a collaborative effort involving local institutions, regional strategies, and agricultural organizations like Coldiretti Macerata and Copagri Marche. Activities range from seminars on rural development and the history of regional traditions to interactive culinary experiences and gaming contests.
