Mach Thi Thuy Khanh shares journey from graphic design to pilot
Mach Thi Thuy Khanh, a female pilot born in 1996, has shared her unconventional journey to becoming a co-pilot for Pacific Airlines. Originally a graphic design student at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Khanh decided to pivot her career during her third year of university.
To fund her transition into aviation, Khanh’s extended family contributed between 4 and 5 billion VND. Despite the high cost of training and the prestige of the role, Khanh noted that the actual income for pilots is not as high as many people commonly assume.
