Macherfestival 2026 Returns with Nationalteam Baugewerbe and Real Life Guys in Leipzig

The Zentralverband Deutsches Baugewerbe (ZDB) and YouTube creators Real Life Guys will host the Macherfestival 2026 from 6 – 9 August at the Ferropolis industrial site near Leipzig. The open‑air DIY festival will feature more than 400 workstations, large‑scale self‑built projects, live music and action zones.

Central to the event is the Nationalteam Baugewerbe, a group of young construction apprentices showcasing projects from soap‑box cars to a massive tiled mural. The partnership, first launched in summer 2025, aims to spark interest in construction careers among children and parents. Daniel of the Real Life Guys said the festival “creates excitement when young people pick up tools and build,” and ZDB chief executive Felix Pakleppa said it “lights the spark for the trade and may lead to apprenticeship decisions.”
