MACK Group to launch eatX dining attraction in Elstal

The MACK Group has unveiled eatX, a new dark-ride-dining concept scheduled to debut at Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Elstal near Berlin in summer 2027. The flagship attraction, titled “Erdbeer-Speisereise” (Strawberry Dining Journey), features the FlowDiner: a patented, autonomous, battery-powered table that moves through five themed experience worlds at speeds of up to 0.5 meters per second.

Designed specifically for families, the attraction offers a three-course menu tailored to the journey. The experience is inspired by the Michelin-starred Eatrenalin at Europa-Park, which serves an eight-course menu for adults and teenagers. The new strawberry-themed journey will use projections, lighting, sound, and scenery to align each course with the history and discovery of the garden strawberry.

Separately, the Karls Erlebnis-Dorf location in Oberhausen continues to attract visitors with its family-oriented model. The site offers free entry to the grounds, with costs incurred only through specific attractions, gastronomy, or retail, focusing on discovery and smaller-scale rides rather than high-thrill roller coasters.
