MacKenzie Scott to release third novel on Substack

Philanthropist and billionaire MacKenzie Scott announced she will self-publish her third novel, titled “Last Days in Two Nations (A History in Eighteen Minds),” via a new Substack newsletter. The 80,000-word work is scheduled to be released serially throughout the month of August.

Scott, who has maintained a private profile since her 2019 divorce from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, previously published her debut novel, “The Testing of Luther Albright,” in 2005, and “Traps” in 2013. Her debut received critical acclaim and an American Book Award. While Scott has provided the title page, table of contents, and character list, she has offered few specific details regarding the plot of the new manuscript.

In addition to her literary pursuits, Scott has become a prominent figure in philanthropy, having donated upwards of $26 billion to various organizations since 2020.
