Macklemore announces Red Rocks solo show amid rising ticket prices

Rapper Macklemore is scheduled to perform a headlining solo show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on October 22. This performance marks his return to the stage following his removal from Ed Sheeran’s ‘Loop’ tour.

Macklemore was dropped from the Sheeran tour on September 14 after making pro-Palestinian comments during a concert in New Jersey. Following the incident, Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft reportedly banned the rapper from his venue due to statements deemed offensive to the Jewish community, leading to his removal from the tour itinerary by the Messina Touring Group. In solidarity, opening acts Finneas and Lukas Graham also left the tour.

Demand for the Red Rocks show has caused ticket prices to surge. While standard general admission tickets for the venue typically start around $90, resale prices on Ticketmaster have risen to approximately $215, representing an increase of nearly 140%.
