Macklemore’s Free Palestine tour sells out immediately

Rapper Macklemore has announced that all three dates for his upcoming ‘Free Palestine’ tour have sold out immediately. The benefit concerts are scheduled for October 26 in Dublin, October 29 in Paris, and October 30 in London.

All proceeds from the shows will be donated to organizations providing humanitarian aid and support to the Palestinian people, including groups such as Gaza Soup Kitchen and Medical Aid for Palestinians. The artist stated that the tour is a way for musicians to stand in solidarity and use their platforms for collective action.

The tour follows Macklemore’s removal from Ed Sheeran’s ‘Loop’ tour in the United States. His departure occurred after he made pro-Palestine remarks during a performance at MetLife Stadium. Macklemore alleged that Robert Kraft, owner of Gillette Stadium, intervened to prevent him from performing at certain venues. In response to the controversy, Macklemore announced he would donate his $1 million in earnings from the Sheeran tour to Palestinian relief organizations, a contribution Kraft reportedly pledged to match.
