Macron condemns Russia after Estonian defense firm sabotage allegations

French President Emmanuel Macron has accused Russia of a “dangerous flight forward” following allegations of sabotage in Estonia. The Estonian security services concluded that an August 15 fire at a Milrem Robotics facility in Tallinn was a deliberate act commissioned by Russian intelligence services.

Milrem Robotics is a defense company that provides unmanned ground vehicles to Ukraine. Estonian authorities reported that three suspects were detained in Latvia and subsequently extradited to Estonia in connection with the incident. While the Kremlin has dismissed these accusations as baseless, Macron expressed full solidarity with Estonia, noting that similar hostile incidents, such as a drone crash at the Leipzig-Halle airport in Germany, have been attributed to Russia.

Macron emphasized that such actions would not undermine European unity or the determination to support Ukraine. He also highlighted recent Russian strikes against the National Academy of Sciences in Ukraine, which resulted in casualties.
