Macron hosts Lumière Summit and meets South Korean President
French President Emmanuel Macron hosted the Lumière Summit at the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, convening major global entertainment executives to discuss the future of cinematic storytelling. Leaders from companies including Netflix, Disney, Sony, Paramount, and NBCUniversal addressed challenges such as shifting audience behaviors toward social media and streaming, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence on production and distribution.
Following the summit, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung arrived in Paris for a state visit to strengthen the global strategic partnership between France and South Korea. The two leaders are scheduled to hold summit talks to discuss security, economic cooperation, and potential collaboration in the nuclear power plant industry. The visit also marks the 140th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
