Mad Cave Studios and King Features Revive Detective Rip Kirby in New Comic Series

Mad Cave Studios and King Features announced at San Diego Comic‑Con 2026 the return of classic detective Rip Kirby in a new comic series. The project will debut with issue #1 on November 4, 2026, featuring writer Christopher Sebela and artist Tango, with colorist KJ Diaz and letterer Jeff Eckleberry. Rip Kirby, created in 1946 by Alex Raymond and Ward Greene, is portrayed as a war‑hero, athlete, scientist and private‑eye who solves cases through intellect and observation. The launch includes several variant covers, a foil edition and a sketch‑cover option for collectors. Mad Cave Studios will publish the series under its imprints, continuing its partnership with King Features on legacy characters.
