Madagascar students complete molecular biology training for biodiversity research

In Madagascar, 39 Master I students from the University of Vakinankaratra participated in a practical molecular biology training session held from June 15 to 17, 2025. Organized by the FOFIFA Molecular Biology Laboratory under the Forests and Biodiversity Partnership (dP Forêt et Biodiversité), the program focused on essential laboratory techniques for biodiversity research.

The training included DNA extraction from leaves and seeds, PCR amplification, and image processing using Gel Analyzer. The initiative aims to strengthen national research capacities and support the sustainable management of natural resources by enhancing the skills of future environmental professionals.
