Madagascar wins African eFootball title, qualifies for FIFAe World Cup

Madagascar’s FEROX team has been crowned African champion in the FIFAe Continental Championships on eFootball console. This victory secures their qualification for the FIFAe World Cup to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The achievement, led by players Rayan and Roberto, drew significant local interest, with a live stream attracting approximately 133,000 viewers in Madagascar.

In the same continental competitions held in Casablanca, Morocco, Senegal’s eSports teams reached the quarter-finals in both console and mobile categories. On console, the eLions were eliminated in the quarter-finals. In the mobile category, Senegal reached the quarter-finals of the FIFAe Nations League 2026 but was eliminated by Tunisia on aggregate score. Despite the exit, Senegal remains ranked within the global FIFAe top 10 for the discipline.
