Madan Rathore apologizes for incorrect anthem played in Jaipur
During a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony at Badi Chaupar in Jaipur, an incorrect version of the national song, ‘Vande Mataram’, was played over the loudspeakers. The error occurred following the hoisting of the tricolor by Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore.
The technical mistake by the sound team caused a different tune to play instead of the original version, causing visible discomfort among senior leaders present, including MP Manju Sharma and MLA Balmukund Acharya. Footage of the incident circulated widely on social media.
Madan Rathore has issued a public apology, accepting moral responsibility for the error. He described the incident as a technical and human mistake by the organizing team and emphasized that respect for the national anthem and national song is paramount. He stated that stricter precautions must be taken to follow protocols during national celebrations to prevent such errors in the future.
