Madan Rathore faces backlash over alleged Pakistan support comment

Madan Rathore, the Rajasthan BJP State President, has sparked a political controversy following a viral video in which he allegedly stated that India would stand with Pakistan in the event of a war between the US and Pakistan. The comment, made during an event for the party's minority cell in Jaipur, led to accusations of 'treason' from the Congress party and the Aam Aadmi Party.

In response to the backlash, Rathore issued a clarification, stating that his remarks were taken out of context and misrepresented. He explained that his comments were intended to refer to a cricket match scenario rather than an actual military conflict. He asserted that the clip was a political conspiracy to defame him.

In Bharatpur, Congress workers staged protests, burning an effigy of Rathore and criticizing the BJP's nationalist stance. Congress leaders, including State President Govind Singh Dotasra, have demanded accountability from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the statement.
