Maddaloni community centre vandalised by youths

On the evening of 23 July, a group of young people threw rubbish at and kicked the door of the Sala Polifunzionale “Franco Imposimato” in Maddaloni, a community centre built from assets seized from organised crime and run by the volunteer association L’Albero della Vita. The incident occurred during a board‑game evening attended by about thirty teenagers, causing alarm among participants.

Association president Antimo Suppa filed a police complaint with the local Carabinieri, providing video footage from the centre’s 24‑hour surveillance system. He thanked Captain Federico Arrigo of the Maddaloni Carabinieri for their swift response. Despite the attack, the centre and its related Emporio della Legalità and Solidarietà will continue to host cultural and educational activities, with the association urging the community to respond to incivility with greater education and solidarity.
